City of Albuquerque Crosswalk Safety
PSA Campaign
I designed the branding and visual graphics for the City of Albuquerque’s crosswalk safety initiative, a PSA designed to raise awareness around updated traffic laws and encourage safer street behavior. The campaign communicated two key changes: all street intersections are legally recognized as crosswalks, even without painted stripes, and crosswalk protections now extend beyond pedestrians to include wheelchair users, cyclists, and motorized scooter riders.
To support the message, I used a bold yellow-and-black color palette inspired by traffic signage and developed a custom set of vector characters representing the full range of protected crosswalk users. Each character was intentionally designed for animation, with rig-ready construction and distinct walk cycles.

In combination with the campaign videos produced by MOOD, the work came together as a bold, cohesive, and highly effective informational campaign. It was received extremely well and succeeded in turning an important policy update into a clear, engaging public message.
